  • Pacific Salmon Foundation Community Roundtables
    The Pacific Salmon Foundation is developing a proposal that aims to identify probable causes of declines and to identify strategies to improve the production of Coho and Chinook stocks in the Strait of Georgia. They will be hosting 6 community meetings to inform the public about this proposed initiative, and to gather information regarding ongoing community initiatives, observations and ideas with respect to changes that have been noticed in the estuarine and marine environments of the Strait of Georgia. The first meeting is on August 19th 7-9pm at the Travelodge Conference Centre, 140 Trans Canada Highway, Duncan  Refreshments will be provided. You can also subscribe to  http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/SOGProgram/join and post messages online. Please feel free to distribute to other interested parties.

    Meetings will also be held on the following dates/times:

    August 20th 7-9pm Oliver Woods Community Centre, 6000 Oliver Road, Nanaimo
    September 2nd 7-9pm Maritime Heritage Centre, 621 Island Highway, Campbell River
    September 8th 7-9pm West Van Community Centre, 2121 Marine Drive, West Vancouver
    September 9th 7-9pm Sechelt Arts Centre, 5714 Medusa Street, Sechelt
    September 10th 4.30-6.30pm Powell River Recreation Complex, 5001 Joyce Avenue, Powell River
